Its history dates back to the Kakatiya era, when a village leader established the temple after the Lord of Tirupati appeared to him in a divine dream. The temple houses the deities Sri Padmavati and Venkateswara Swamy, installed according to the traditional Pancharatra Agama system. It is renowned for its continuous spiritual practices, including Nitya dhupa diparadhana (daily incense and lamp offerings) and the daily recitation of the Padakal Sri Venkateswara Suprabhatam, a morning hymn specifically composed for this deity by Sri Nadathur Venkata Raghavacharya. Today, it serves as a significant pilgrimage destination, drawing devotees from across the country who seek the Lord's blessings and grace.
